Jackson Safety helmet suspensions have foam pads that are used to replace worn, damaged or aged suspensions in compatible Jackson Safety-branded helmets. These foam pads attach to the inside of the helmet to help absorb shock from an impact. Helmet suspensions should be inspected regularly and replaced yearly or when they show signs of wear and tear. Hard hat and helmet suspensions are the part of the hard hat or helmet that rests on the wearer's head. Suspensions provide a gap between the head gear and head, which helps absorb shock and redirect impact force away from the head and spine. Hard hat suspension replacement should be completed yearly as part of normal maintenance and inspection practices or earlier if the suspension shows signs of wear. The brand of the replacement helmet suspension should match the brand of the helmet.
