The EVA Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) system should be cleaned and inspected after each use and prior to storage. Detach the battery pack, breathing tube and loose-fitting hood from the blower unit. Inspect all parts for damage or other signs of excessive wear. Replace all damaged parts prior to storage or next use.

- The Decontamination Kit provides the option to further clean the blower unit with running water, immersed up to 12-in (30.5 cm)
- The following chemicals have been tested and approved as cleaning agents for the blower unit
- Process NPD (1.256) from Steris
- Spor-Klenz (undiluted) from Steris
- Clorox liquid bleach at 10% concentration
- Sani-cloth HB wipes
- 100% methanol
- 70% IPA
- The decontamination kit should be replaced every 100 uses to minimize the use of worn components
- Water temperature should not exceed 122 deg F (50 deg C)
- The Bullard EVA/EVAHL Decontamination Kit is compatible with EVA (serial no. > 48500) and EVAHL (serial no. > 9000). Use with serial numbers < 48500/9000 will result in water ingress which will damage the internal components and void the warranty
