The DBI-SALA Arc flash positioning lanyard is constructed with a Nomex/Kevlar webbing, so it's both shock resistant and incredibly durable. The arc flash lanyard is able to bear the brunt of an electrical surge and still act as a top quality piece of fall protection. Normal lanyards degrade rapidly when exposed to high heat or electrical surge. The Nomex/Kevlar keeps vital components of this positioning lanyard from frying and leaving you suddenly unhooked.
