Washable hard hat sweatbands also provide more padding than non-padding head gear, making the head gear more comfortable to wear. Sweatbands used with hard hats, bump caps and climbing helmets help keep a worker's vision clear by preventing perspiration from getting into their eyes. They can also be dipped in water to help keep workers cool and provide cushioning to make the head gear more comfortable than those without padding. Helmet, bump cap and hard hat sweatbands can be removed, washed and replaced when they become worn or dirty.
