M5071A Philips Replacement Pads

The Philips HeartStart OnSite Adult SMART Pads, model M5071A, are designed for use with Philips HeartStart OnSite AEDs. These pads are suitable for cardiac arrest victims weighing 55 pounds (25 kg) or more and are generally used for adults and children who are 8 years old and older. Some key points about these pads include: Replacement Schedule: The pads should be replaced after each use or every two years, regardless of use. An expiration date is marked on the front of the pads cartridge.

What you need to know 

To replace your pads, locate the latch at the top edge of the AED and slide it to the side. The pads cartridge will be released. Lift out the used pads cartridge.

Remove a new SMART Pads Cartridge from its package and insert the cartridge into the cartridge well on the front of the HeartStart. It should click into place when properly seated. The green PULL handle should be all the way down.

To prevent the pads’ adhesive gel from drying out, do not open the hard cover or film seal of the cartridge until you need to use the pads.
