Arc-flash rated vest-style safety harnesses for positioning with a belt have two vertical shoulder straps that have webbing and a buckle to connect across the chest for a secure fit. Vest-style harnesses are easier to put on and take off than crossover harnesses. Integrated hip D-rings and body belt connect to positioning and restraint lanyards that help keep the wearer positioned correctly near the work. Arc-flash rated safety harnesses will not burn, melt, or conduct energy during an arc flash. They're worn by people working at height in areas where an arc flash may occur, such as utility, oil and gas, and construction workers.
