Body belts are worn around the waist to help people working at heights correctly position themselves in front of a work area or to prevent them from falling over an edge. The lanyards allow the worker to use both hands without needing to hold on to the structure to stay in place while working, and they prevent the worker from getting too close to a fall hazard.
